One way to use it is by making your very own coconut oil face mask and I’m here to help you.
I love coconut oil for it contains many health benefits. It’s not only good for the body but for the skin too. You can find coconut in the tropical parts of the world where it is readily available. Many people still believe that the oil from Coconut protects the skin from the harmful rays of the sun. Making your own coconut oil face mask will not only help protect your skin but also hydrate it to prevent dryness and acne bouts.
DIY Coconut Oil Face Mask Proven To Clear Your Skin
It’s really amazing how coconut oil gives our skin the nourishment and hydration it needs to fight premature signs of aging. Basically, coconut oil contains potent and good ingredients for the skin such as vitamin E, saturated fats, and capric acid. Vitamin E is a potent antioxidant that helps get rid of free radicals, the main culprits of premature skin aging. Saturated fats are medium chain fatty acids or triglycerides that keep the skin smooth and moisturized. Lastly, capric acid are fatty acids that contain strong antimicrobial properties, making coconut oil able to fight viruses, bacteria, and fungi.
One skin care regimen you can make out of this potent oil is the coconut oil face mask. Don’t worry, I’ll run through the basic steps to help you.
What You’ll Need For This DIY Coconut Oil Face Mask:
- 1 tbsp. Coconut Oil per person
- 1 tsp. Honey per person
- 1 tablet aspirin per person
Step 1: Crush The Aspirin Tablets
First off, you need to crush a tablet of aspirin for every person. If you’re going to make a face mask for two persons, you’ll need to add another tablet. The active ingredient in aspirin, salicylic acid, helps in skin exfoliation. After that, add a little amount of water to dissolve the crushed tablet parts.
Step 2. Add One Tablespoon Of Coconut Oil
Add one tablespoon of coconut oil. Again, this is just for one person’s use. Add another tablespoon of coconut oil if you’re making a coconut oil face mask for two persons.
Step 3: Add Honey
Add one teaspoon of honey. Honey is a very good exfoliating and hydrating agent. It also contains antimicrobial properties so this coconut oil face mask is ideal for those who are suffering from sensitive skin and acne bouts.
Step 4: Mix All The Ingredients
Mix all the ingredients. Make sure the coconut oil, aspirin, water, and honey have mixed thoroughly. This will make it easier for you to apply your coconut oil face mask.
Step 5: Remove Your Makeup And Clean Your Face
Make sure you remove your makeup and clean your face before applying the coconut oil face mask. This will ensure that there are no dirt, makeup residue and excess oils on your face.
Step 6: Apply Your DIY Coconut Oil Face Mask
Apply the mixture on your face and leave it for a good 15-20 minutes. You’ll instantly feel your face is softer after rinsing.
